Wits confirm three signings

The Clever Boys recruited goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo from Orlando Pirates and midfielders Bantu Mzwakali and Mxolisi Macuphu from Chippa United.

Wits announced the trio's arrival on Twitter.

Both Mzwakali and Macuphu spent just half a season with the Chilli Boys, after they were signed from Ajax Cape Town and Jomo Cosmos respectively.

Macuphu made an impact with four goals in 13 Absa Premiership appearances, while Mzwakali struggled to break into the team under Vladislav Heric.

Mzwakali featured only four times and will be hoping to feature more at his new home at Wits. Competition in midfield, however, will not be easy for the former Urban Warriors man.

Coach Gavin Hunt previously secured the services of centre-back Robyn Johannes on a pre-contract from Cape Town City for the upcoming season.
