Lebese's agent Steve Kapeluschnik earlier today said he was meeting with Mamelodi Sundowns' management to discuss his client's options.
"We are waiting on the club to make a decision on Lebese. They know he want to get some game-time."
Lebese wants to leave Sundowns as he is yet to play this season and has featured sparingly since joining the Absa Premiership champions from Kaizer Chiefs in August 2017.
This website has since been informed that SuperSport have shown interest in the 29-year-old.
Meanwhile, Matsatsantsa are expected to soon make an announcement regarding Thuso Phala.
Phala, who has fallen out of favour at the club and will see his contract expire in June, has been linked with Orlando Pirates and Highlands Park during the January transfer window, which will shut at midnight.
Highlands coach Owen da Gama, however, recently cooled talk of a potential swoop for the 32-year-old attacker.
"I had him in mind, but I think we are sorted now," said Da Gama, who has just secured the services of Polokwane City hitman Rodney Ramagalela for next term.
SuperSport spokesman David Skhosana said Phala's future was being discussed in a meeting when contacted for comment.
