Dikwena on Friday announced the arrival of the 20-year-old attacker, who could feature in their Absa Premiership clash against Ajax Cape Town this evening.
@PlatinumStarsFC can confirm the signing of midfielder Zama Rambuwane from SuperSport United. The 20-year-old is likely to make his debut for Dikwena tonight as he is in the squad that will take on Ajax Cape Town at the Cape Town Stadium. Rambuwane is a left-sided midfielder, who made his professional debut with Matsatsantsa back in October 2015 and went on to make seven more appearances that season, has yet to make an appearance this season.
The Alexander-born midfielder spent last season in Isreal, on loan at Hapoel Raanana, where he failed to make a single appearance, before switching to Ironi Nesher in January last year.
SuperSport Operations manager Dominic Busschau has since confirmed to KickOff.com that Rambuwane's move is a six-month loan until the end of the season.
Stars coach Roger de Sa believes their new acquisition is a capable replacement for Katlego Otladisa, who was recently ruled out through injury.
“It’s great to have Zama. We are happy to have him sign with us. He gives us a bit of width. I think, with 'Dox' [Katlego Otladisa] out with that long term injury, we needed another player to play out wide," De Sa said in the club's statement.
"As young as Zama is, he has got a lot of experience. He has played at SuperSport and he has played in Israel. He has travelled Europe and he has played for youth national teams.
"He is a big strong boy and I think he give us supply to our strikers. He has a fighting spirit. He is here to learn and get better and I am sure he will,” said De Sa.
