Misquissone looked to be on his way to Cape Town City during the January transfer window but a deal failed to materialise.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane confirmed he wants to sign Zambian forward Lameck Banda, who was recently on trial at Chloorkop, as well as a midfielder from Mozambique identified only at Luis at this stage.
“Luis the Mozambican, we working, he is coming. The one more like [Percy] Tau is coming,” said Mosimane, who side returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Orlando Pirates in Soweto on Wednesday night.
‘Jingles’ says he is also heading to South America to scout players, having previously revealed he wants to add two more men to his squad in January.
“I think I will be off to South America tomorrow [Thursday]. We have to do work and strengthen the team.
“Lot of guys like 'Keke' [Hlompho Kekana], [Themba] Zwane, 'Sugar' [Tiyani Mabunda] have done a lot of mileage playing in the Champions league for two-and-a-half years without rest and obviously their performance will take a dip. They need a reliever.”
