The 29-year-old defensive midfielder has vast experience in continental football with 18 CAF Champions League matches under his belt, and could be a good fit at Stars given that the club will be making their CAF Confederation Cup debut in 2018/19.
Eymael has likened the abilities of Gandze to Nhlanhla Vilakazi, who recently switched allegiance to AmaZulu.
"The guy is here, the international from Congo is here," Eymael tells KickOff.com.
"Cesaire Gandze, he is from Congo Brazzaville huh? He was playing for AC Leopards, but this season he was with another Congolese team that currently share the same number of points with the number one.
"He plays box to box huh? He is a number eight, box to box, plays like Vilakazi."
Asked by this website if Gandze is on trial, Eymael says: "We will sign him but not today because the boss is not here.
"He will be with us today at training but he will run solely."
