READ: Larsen backs struggling Sibiya

Nonyane joined Arrows on a two-year deal in 2016 with an option to renew from Mpumalanga Black Aces, just like fellow defender Limbikani Mzava.

While Abafana Bes'thende recently exercised the option in Mzava's contract, Nonyane is still waiting to see if he is in the plans of coach Clinton Larsen.

The 31-year-old, who has four caps for Bafana Bafana, was restricted to 11 appearances in all competitions in 2017/18 as he struggled with groin and knee injuries.

"It's only a month left and they have an option, and still I haven't heard anything from the club. I don't know what is happening," Nonyane told

"We were told that we'll reconvene on the 18th of this month for pre-season. It's better to know where you stand because teams are releasing players ... It's better to tell someone early of what is happening.

"There's no point in saying 'we are coming back on the 18th' and then you are being told they no longer need your services.

"By now they know who they want, who they don't want ... I'm long in this game and it's better to be told early.

"There's nothing wrong to be told 'your service is no longer needed' or they are 'going to renew your contract', something like that.

"So this puts me in a difficult situation. I don't have an agent, I talk for myself. If I don't do the talking who is going to do it for me? It's not like I'm fighting for something. So it's a very tricky situation but we'll see what is happening in the next couple of days."

He added: "Do you understand at the end of July my kids have to be fed and I'm a family man. Obviously I don't have an agent who can go around and fish on my behalf.

"My whole career I never had an agent and I've been getting teams, but the kind of situation I'm in is not nice. As I said to you, it's better to be told early."

Arrows told Zimbabwean striker Thomas Chideu, who joined the club in October, they will not be needing his services next term prior to the off-season break.
