Transfer News

Tsotetsi, a former Jomo Cosmos and Kaizer Chiefs defender, won promotion to the National First Division with Maccabi from the ABC Motsepe League and brought in experienced players such as Edmore Chirambadare, Thapelo Tshilo and Mokoena, a player he often worked hard to mark on the pitch.

“The relationship has to be good. He is learning in terms of being at this level, which is good for him. He’s somebody who always has his ears open and is looking for new ideas in terms of growing the team and making sure that we have a good team to compete,” Mokoena tells KickOff.com.

“The relationship he has with the players is right, he is a fun guy to work with. Having to work with him also brings those memories of back in the days when we played against each other. He was a very hard, no-nonsense defender. He wants his players to work hard and deep down in my heart I just wish him all the best going forward.”

Maccabi are currently in 13th place on the First Division standings, with just one victory in their first six matches.
