Amakhosi are currently in third position on the Absa Premiership table, with one game left to play before the turn of the year.
They trail arch-rivals Orlando Pirates by just one point, while three points separate them from leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have three games in hand.
Chiefs are known to be on the lookout for a new striker, with numerous foreign candidates having tried and failed to impress the technical team in recent months.
The Soweto giants have also been linked with a number of high-profile PSL players recently, including Sundowns striker Leonardo Castro, while Maritzburg United’s Evans Rusike remains a target for the Glamour Boys.
Komphela has refused to give anything away at this stage, though assures they will be keeping an eye out for any prospective signings in the market.
“Scouting for new players is a continuing process that doesn’t stop. We will check the market for possibilities,” Komphela briefly commented on his club’s website.
A few exits are also on the cards at Naturena, with out-of-favour midfielder Keagan Buchanan linked with a move to Pietermaritzburg, while second-choice goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo has interest from Cape Town.
