Etafia, a former Moroka Swallows shot-stopper, joined Bakgaga last season as a goalkeeper coach, but was told by management that his services are no longer needed at the club.
“They said there is a new coach coming in and he is going to come with his own technical team. When the coach is coming in with his new people there is nothing you can do,” Etafia tells KickOff.com.
“You always try give your best. When I came in last season, it was just before the play-offs and we managed to escape. It was a good experience for me and a good opportunity, but you have to move on and that’s the most important thing.”
The former Nigerian international says he is currently spending time with family and is confident he will be able to find employment soon.
“Right now it’s off-season. By the grace of God I will get something. I am doing some TV work now. God always makes a way. There’s a lot of opportunities out there, but right now I am just with my family. So I will be good.
“The most important thing is that you contribute wherever you are.”
