Mahamutsa and Teyise penned one-year contracts with Ea Lla Koto at the beginning of 2016/17 after being offloaded from Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United respectively.
Both players proved their worth in Bethlehem, with Mahamutsa making 15 league appearances and scoring a goal against Kaizer Chiefs earlier this year, while Teyise made 17 outings in the Premiership.
Stars chairman Mike Mokoena confirmed the pair have since been handed new deals.
"We've extended their contracts and if you remember these players helped us a lot,'' Mokoena tells KickOff.com.
''I'm not so sure of how many seasons they were given but I think it is between one or two seasons. But all I know is that they have extended their contracts.
"It was important to keep them because they really helped a lot because we were really struggling at the time."
Ea Lla Koto are in the hunt for a new coach following the departure of Serame Letsoaka, having narrowly survived relegation after drawing their last match of the past season against Chippa United.
The club, which was the first PSL side to report for pre-season training last week, also recently released Nhlakanipho Ntuli, Davies Nkausu, Thabang Matuka, Mbuyiseni Thethani, Nyiko Tshabangu and Angelo Kerspuy.
