The 20-year-old has impressed on a six-month loan spell at Ajax from fellow strugglers SuperSport United, netting three goals and providing two assists for the coastal outfit.
The Urban Warriors need to beat Kaizer Chiefs in their final game of the season at Cape Town Stadium on May 12 to have any hope of avoiding being drawn into the play-offs.
Platinum Stars have already been demoted to the National First Division as the bottom-placed finishers in the Absa Premiership.
"Look, to be quite honest I haven't really thought about it as my main focus and priority at the moment is with the Ajax, and how we are going to survive in the league," Lakay tells KickOff.com.
"It's very important for a club like Ajax to be in the PSL. It's much more than a club. It allows aspiring players from the Cape to dream of one day playing for Ajax.
"So, in my eyes our big concern is that the club is where it is, but we have to remain focused and keep on believing.
"So, this is where my focus is at the moment and thereafter we can see what will happen regarding my future," concludes the Cape-born ex-Santos forward.
