Mokeke is a free agent after recently terminating his contract with SuperSport.

The 28-year-old previously worked with Chippa coach Eric Tinkler at Matsatsantsa and Cape Town City.

And according to a source, Mokeke has impressed in training in his bid to win a contract with the Port Elizabeth-based outfit.

"He has done well and it looks like the club will sign him," says the source.

"The club will make a decision by the weekend."

The Chilli Boys last month recruited defender Tercious Malepe from Orlando Pirates.
