Downs reel in Uruguayan winger

Transfer News

Sirino has also agreed in principle to his personal terms which will pave the way for the deal to happen during the current January transfer window.

Word reaching this website is that while all parties are singing the same tune what has delayed the deal is that the contracts have to be translated from English to Spanish and vice versa. The Bolivian club and Sirino both use Spanish while Sundowns use English.

For now Sirino remains in Bolivia but will travel once the deal is finalised with all relevant signatures.

KickOff.com has also been made aware that the 26-year-old is wanted by a Chilean club.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane travelled to Bolivia in November to watch Sirino and has long made up his mind that this is the kind of player that he needs as a potential replacement for Khama Billiat should the Zimbabwean leave.

Sundowns look set to send out Yannick Zakri and Fares Hachi out on loan to open up the foreign slots in their side.

In the meantime, KickOff.com can also confirm that attempts to bring in Bolivian forward Gilbert Alvarez Vargas have fallen through due to financial reasons.

Alvarez’s club Club Jorge Wilstermann have not been keen to lower their transfer fee.
