The Chilli Boys have not only been busy in the current transfer period, which officially only opens on July 1, but have also made it a habit of snapping up Ezenkosi's personnel.
Makobela has become the fourth Cosmos player to make the switch to the Port Elizabeth-based outfit in the last six months, after the club brought in Frederic Nsabiyumva, Mxolisi Macuphu and Linda Mntambo in the January window.
However, Mntambo has since moved on to a bigger stage after Orlando Pirates came knocking for his services.
Meanwhile, Makobela, a 25-year-old winger converted to a right-back by former coach Jomo Sono, has expressed his delight at his step-up from the National First Division.
”I am very happy, thanks to the chairman Mr Chippa Mpengesi and everyone for making this move possible. I am delighted to be a Chilli Boy,” 'Tebza' told the club's website.
“I am going to meet my father now to share the news with him. The club has already informed me that we are expected to meet on Saturday, June 16th."
Makobela spent five years at Cosmos, and could not move on without a word of thanks to the club boss and mentor.
“There was a time when he [Sono] did not entertain any offers from clubs that were looking for my services," he reflected.
"I want to thank him and everyone at Jomo Cosmos for the contribution they have made to my development.
”I received an encouraging message from Mr Sono himself, wishing me all the best at Chippa United."
