Manqele has been back at Free State Stars for a second spell since September, scoring thrice in eight appearances with one of those goals coming against The Chilli Boys in November.
Word reaching this website is that Chippa have now raised a hand of interest in rehiring the 30-year-old on condition that Stars allow him to move for free.
The Mohlakeng-born striker has this season shown flashes of just how useful a forward he is despite not being in prime physical condition.
Chippa no longer have Moeketsi Sekola, who moved back to his parent club Highlands Park following the expiry of his loan deal.
Manqele’s current deal with Stars runs up to the end of the season with an option to renew for another year.
Stars’ stance on Manqele is that they will be guided by what is tabled.
