Masalesa joined Dikwena at the beginning of the current campaign after leaving Greek side Larissa where he spent one season, having signed from Orlando Pirates at the start of last season.
However, he picked up an injury during while turning out for Bafana Bafana in the Cosafa Cup in June, enduring a frustrating wait on the sidelines before playing his first game for Stars against Mamelodi Sundowns at the beginning.
His industrial presence for struggling Dikwena since his recovery has been essential in reviving the club’s fortunes, yet the club could lose their recruit as early as the upcoming January transfer window.
“’Vieira’ might join Chippa United on an agreed fee in the January transfer window,” a source tells KickOff.com.
“Apparently they want Masalesa very badly, and Chippa United have engaged the club directly to show their interest.”
Should he join the Chilli Boys, the 25-year-old, who has featured in nine games in all competitions thus far, will be reunited with his former coach Teboho Moloi who coached him at Pirates from 2012 to 2016.
