The 24-year-old began his fledgeling football career in the Mother City with the African Soccer Development Academy, before catching the eye of the Belgians, who signed him in 2011.
Cape Town City confirmed the signing of the free agent via their official Twitter profile, posting:
“I think this [Patosi’s signing] just shows our intentions,” Citizens owner John Comitis told IOL. “We want to keep up the tempo and we want to keep challenging.
“It says a lot about our brand that we are able to persuade a player to return from Europe and come to play for City.
“I’m really excited, and I’m looking forward to seeing Ayanda on the field with (Lebogang) Manyama, (Aubrey) Ngoma and (Lehlohonolo) Majoro.”
