Chiefs last week struck a deal with Mamelodi Sundowns to have Castro released early from his contract which was set to expire at the end of June 2018.

The 28-year-old is believed to have penned a two-and-a-half year deal at Naturena that will see him continue at the club until June 2020.

Having had an Argentine and two Cameroonian strikers fail assessments under Steve Komphela in recent months, Motaung was relieved to have snapped up the former member of the celebrated 'CBD' trident.

“It is not a secret that we have been in the market for a striker and are delighted that we have found a player of Castro’s quality," Motaung told his club's website.

"He will certainly add more firepower to the talent we have in our striking department.”
