Nemukondeni has completed a deadline day switch to Phunya Sele Sele after just six months at the Urban Warriors. He has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Celtic and has started training with the club ahead of their weekend fixture against struggling SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The former University of Pretoria winger only made four appearances with the Cape-based outfit, but has failed to convince new coach Muhsin Ertugral of his quality. With players such as Yannick Zakri, Tashreeq Morris and Fagrie Lakay doing well in attack for the Urban Warriors, the former Alexandra United player was going to struggle for game-time had he stayed in the Mother City.
The 25-year-old was registered by Celtic at the PSL offices on Wednesday afternoon, just hours before the close of the transfer window.
Celtic's COO Chabeli Motsamai said: “We are excited to have signed such an exceptionally talented winger with great potential and he will surely add value. Our technical team has identified areas that need reinforcement, hence we signed a winger capable of bringing productive crosses to suit our style of play. We welcome him with open arms and wishing him a successful journey with the team.”
