Leopards keeping faith with Masutha

Leopards earned their spot alongside NFD champions Highlands Park in the topflight next term by winning the play-offs, having finished runners-up in the regular second-tier season.

Topflight newcomers or returnees are often temped to drop their coach for a more recognisable mentor with greater experience, as was the case when Golden Arrows replaced Shaun Bartlett with Serame Letsoaka in June 2015.

Lidoda Duvha chairman David Thidiela, however, says Joel Masuthu will continue to oversee the team next term.

"He has done good work," says Thidiela.

"He is keeping his position as head coach next season," adds Thidiela, who has vowed to get Thohoyandou Stadium PSL-compliant for 2018/19.
