Leopards pass on ex-Chiefs striker

The forward trained with Lidoda Duvha for two days before asking to be allowed time to go sort out some 'personal issues' in his home country of Zambia.

Macha was supposed to rejoin the team's pre-season camp on Wednesday, but says when he called to inform club head coach Joel Masutha that he was coming back, he was told not to bother anymore.

"No, Black Leopards told me they don't need my services, I'm at home," Macha tells KickOff.com.

"Wednesday I was talking to the coach. Just waiting, I know God will take me to a better team. I Just wish them all the best for this season. It wasn't my destiny there, so God has plans for me."

Macha arrived in South Africa in 2016 when he linked up with Chiefs, but only got game-time in six cup matches in his stay there. He scored once for Amakhosi in pre-season, in the Carling Black Label Cup against Orlando Pirates.

The 26-year-old then moved to Baroka FC in the 2017/2018 season. There he only played in nine league matches and one cup game, scoring twice before he was shipped out at the end of last season.

Macha has blamed injuries for his struggles in South Africa.

"My injuries brought me down in SA. I used to start well, the moment I got injured all the things there turned from good to bad, so it's God who knows."
