Nyirenda, a former Kaizer Chiefs player, has joined the Limpopo side on a two-year deal after recently resigning as the Zambian national team coach.
Bakgaga were interested in having a coach with experience of coaching on the continent and believe Nyirenda will take them to new heights.
Nyirenda was a teammate of the club's technical director Doctor '16V' Khumalo at Kaizer Chiefs in 1994. Jabulani Mendu, another ex-Amakhosi player, is expected to be Nyirenda’s assistant.
Baroka will also be unveiling their new kit on the day.
"Come Friday we are unveiling the coach, the kit and players," Mammila tells KickOff.com.
"I would say nine, 10 new players. We will also announce names of those who are leaving.
"Our new coach is the one whose name is making the rounds, Nyirenda. Everything is signed and sealed for two years."
Some of the recruits include big Ivorian striker Armand Gnanduillet, who played his football in England, as well as Thabo Mosele and Bheki Maliba from University of Pretoria and Mbombela United respectively.
