The Nigerian striker was so bad he dented the pride of Nigerian footballers in this country.

Omotayo started 11 games and scored just once, with his goal coming on debut against Black Leopards during the 2006/07 season when this team was relegated from the PSL after finishing bottom of the standings.

Prior to his arrival he had been excelling at Shooting Stars and was recruited by Kosta Papic, who had previously worked with him in Nigeria.

But ultimately he was an ordinary striker with a short temper. Halfway through the season Maritzburg had had enough of him and placed him on transfer.

The following season he moved to First Division club Durban Stars where he also scored just once in five games before being told to look elsewhere for employment.

He surfaced at United FC in 2010, but never won a contract. Was recently reported to be playing beach soccer back home as a defender.
