'Vultures' wait to pick off Chiefs

Celtic boss Khumbulani Konco is in confident mood ahead of their first game of the second half of the Absa Premiership, and is rallying the troops on the club's website.

"Yes, the Chiefs train is moving at an alarming rate but the spirit displayed by our players during training sessions recently resembles that of a vulture impatiently waiting for its prey," he says.

"It will be absolutely phenomenal seeing Celtic supporters going home loudly chanting songs of praise after a win. Chiefs is not invincible, they can be beaten."

Konco adds: "We are glad we face Chiefs after recess. Our coach had almost sufficient time to work on the squad after he joined the club with two games before the festive break.

"Players like Mukuka Mulenga are also back from Afcon and buoyantly ready to rumble."
