Chiefs are on an eight-game winning streak in the Absa Premiership and are already 10 points clear of defending champions Sundowns, but Modise knows it's still early days in the title race.

“Look, they are playing well and have not set a foot wrong. But this does not mean that they will continue in this form for the rest of the season," Modise tells his official website.

"In the previous season they started well and could not finish strong. This shows that it is how you finish and not how you start,” he adds, well aware that Stuart Baxter's side had a similar spell last season but could not take their form over the finish line.

“Like I said, the League is a race and it is still early to conclude who will win it. Everyone still has their eyes on the prize and certainly we also want to defend our title. Time will tell, but surely we are not panicking at all,” he concludes.
