Shakes Mashaba's men are two points behind Congo in the standings, having beaten Sudan 3-0 and drawn 0-0 with continental champions Nigeria in their opening two games.

Mashamaite, who has been a star performer for Kaizer Chiefs in recent seasons, told his club's official website: "The mood is good in the camp. Every player in the team has been showing hunger and a drive and that is a good sign ahead of the game."

The 30-year-old added: "I am looking forward to the games, but firstly I have to work hard here at training and adapt to the structure of the Bafana Bafana squad."
