Xoki: We have to keep the mentality

AmaZulu defender Tapelo Xoki wants the side to keep the positive mentality going as Usuthu take on defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

Usuthu have started very well at home after drawing with Orlando Pirates before securing a win over Black Leopards, but the same can't be said for their away form.

Xoki says it important for the side to go to the defending league champions with positve mentality, especially after the good result before the international break.

"Even though it been while since we last played, I think it's important that we pick up where we left off, we are going away, a different ball game all together," Xoki said.

"Playing against a team that is competing for the league and defending champions, team that is not easy to play against, but we have to back ourselves and make sure we keep the momentum from our last game.

"Every match we have to go with confidence, confidence is a results of good results and results of good training, we have to keep that positive mentality amomgst ourselves."

Xoki claims the Durban-based outfit believes winning the big games are vital to their ambitions for the season.

"It a big game, big three points up for grabs, we know they want three points we also want them, so we've got ambitions for the season and want to be, such games are very vital," he added.

"We haven't registered any away win, in our last game we didn't do well so, we need to make sure what we learn from our first away game, we apply to this game, because it's a game of small margins as we know in the previous games, one moment can change the game so we have to make sure we apply ourselves correctly, play the game in our best ability and confidence."
