Mosimane came out guns blazing in an altercation with Golden Arrows manager Gordon Masondo during a Nedbank Cup last-16 tie on April 8, a week after he clashed with the Kaizer Chiefs camp in a league match at FNB Stadium.
A similar scenario could have played out in the Tshwane derby when Daniels kicked the ball towards the Downs bench at Lucas Moripe Stadium last Thursday.
Mosimane, however, was determined to steer clear of trouble.
"I just moved away. I had a lot of fights. I just moved away, I said I don’t need this again. I know it's gonna be on TV. I know it's gonna be issues, I moved away.
"I remember what he did against Craig Rosslee and I said okay ,let me keep quiet and moved away."
He added: "This boy from Arrows, [Lerato] Lamola, the ball bounced in front of us in the bench, he came through flying a shot at the bench, the ball came out. But he apologised, you know it's emotions. He is young, hyper, they are winning 1-0, they are beating Sundowns, that you understand. He apologised, sorry guys, it's okay, he made a mistake. I don’t want to comment about Clayton."
