Komphela defends lack of signings

The team under Komphela is still unbeaten in five games with three wins and two draws, but the coach is not reading too much into that.

Even after the 2-1 win over Highlands Park on Saturday, Komphela believes there is a lot of work that needs to be done at Arrows.

"I just joined the club, I can't come and change things, I have to look at every player before making any decisions," he said after the match.

"We have so many quality players in this team, others were injured, and they are coming back so we had to give them time before making such changes."

Komphela also spoke about the competition in his team as the injured players make a return one by one.

"There's a good competition in the team, those who are currently playing are doing well and others are fighting for recognition so it's a very good competition," he added.

"We've been doing well, we need to stay humble and make sure this season we finish in a good position on the log, then we can build from that.

"We have to win every game as we can, then next season we can talk about competing for something."
