FSS beat Hearts to sought-after talent

Eleven Wonders FC captain Rashid Mohammed reportedly left Ghana on Sunday to undergo a medical ahead of securing a move to GladAfrica Championship outfit Free State Stars.

The 25-year-old played a pivotal role in helping Wonders avoid relegation to go alongside winning four Man-of-the-Match awards in his 31 appearances.

Ea Lla Koto are believed to have now snatched Mohammed's signature just as the likes of Kotoko, Hearts and Dreams FC were aiming to sign him.

Mohammed was also regarded as one of the premier defenders in the Ghana Premier League last season.

Contacted by KickOff, Free State Stars general manager Rantsi Mokoena could neither deny nor confirm the player's status at the club.

"I haven't announced the names of the people we have signed, we are still going to make an announcement," Mokoena said.

Stars have recently already lost the services of left-winger Monnapule Saleng to Orlando Pirates, who has since been loaned to neighbours Swallows FC for the duration of the upcoming season.
