Vilakazi has signed a contract running up to the end of the season.
Charles Nkosi, the Sivutsa spokesman, confirms that Vilakazi is already in Nelspruit and started training this afternoon following the completion of his deal.
“I can confirm that Jomo has joined us after signing today having completed negotiations with our chairman last night in Johannesburg. We were in Jozi yesterday to play a friendly match against Mamelodi Sundowns after that game our chairman met with him but he then signed today,” says Nkosi.
Vilakazi will now play in his home province for the first time in his professional career.
“Jomo remains a very useful striker who I believe will definitely do a good job at Sivutsa,” Ali Tlhoaele, Vilakazi’s manager, says. “He is the kind of striker that gets other players into the game and Sivutsa will definitely enjoy having him in their team.”
Vilakazi, born in the small town of Driefontein, has also played for Free State Stars, Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits and AmaZulu during his time in the PSL. He spent the past season with Usuthu.
