Letsoaka: We aren’t giving up

A brace from Sello Japhta condemned Celtic to their 10th loss of the season, despite dictating much of the play in the second half, but spurning a number of chances as they were unable to add to Fiston Razak’s first half penalty.

“Stars started very well, but I think we gained momentum after scoring the equaliser,” Letsoaka told SuperSport After the game. “But in the second half we were camping in their half, and the chances that again we continue to miss is a big concern for all of us.”

The former Golden Arrows coach did not fault his players for effort, however.

“The eleven players definitely gave their all,” he said. “It could be mistakes here and there, closing the striker going through in the defensive area, but I can say that everyone gave their best in the game here.”

Celtic are now just five points above safety with 22 points from their 22 games as they sit in 13th on the table, yet their coach insists they will not give up in their quest to finish off the season on a high.

“We will continue to work as hard as we can, and we will continue to do that – we aren’t giving up now,” he said.
