Scolari: Brazil have one hand on Cup

The Samba Boys - who needed penalties to edge Chile in the last-16 - are yet to hit top gear at the tournament on home soil.

Scolari, however, has faith his men can achieve their goal of a record-extending sixth triumph at Fifa's flagship event.

"Do we have one hand on the Cup? Yes," Scolari said in a press conference on the eve of the contest against their South American rivals.

"Don't forget those statements (I made about winning the World Cup before it started). They were all fantastic. Those statements could not be any different now.

"We are going on to the fifth step now. There are seven in total."
