This website reported last week that Stars were talking to Milutin Sredojevic, who is currently in charge of the Ugandan national team, but the two parties have since failed to agree terms.
Stars, though, have appointed Saintfiet. “His first training was today. He was picked up by Kinnah Phiri and the two know each other from Malawi,” reveals our source.
The 41-year-old played football between 1983 to 1997 before becoming a football manager at the tender age of 24 and he was until recently head coach of the Malawian national team.
As KickOff.com also reported last week, Duncan Lechesa is back at the club as assistant coach, while Kinnah Phiri takes over as the technical director. Themba Sithole is apparently assuming the role of head scout.
