De Sa eyeing quick Ajax response

De Sa is conscious that it might be a challenge to motivate his players after the Chiefs game but is adamant it was only three points lost and against Platinum Stars tonight it is a chance to regain the three points.

“We have an opportunity to turn it around as soon as possible, so for us we had 48 hours to get out there and move up the log,” he says.

“It’s a tough job to do and to get them motivated because there won't be a crowd like the one we had against Chiefs, which will be more difficult. We lost three points and against Platinum Stars there will be another three points to play for, we got to keep that intensity going and hopefully it will work.”

When the Urban Warriors lost their first Absa Premiership game against Mpumalanga Black Aces the team recovered quickly with a 3-0 win in the Telkom Knockout against the same side.

De Sa knows losing to Chiefs might have been a mental blow to his players.

“We know how much of a mental blow it is and we have discussed that. They recovered from the Aces game as well and it was our first loss in Nelspruit. We came back against them at home and hopefully we can do the same [against Platinum Stars tonight].”

Kick-off at Cape Town Stadium is at 19h30.
