Former Acornbush United and Baroka winger Rhulani Sidumo claims he has signed with Absa Premiership side Chippa United.
The exciting winger, who made a name for himself in the Nedbank Cup match between amateur side Acornbush and Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs a few years ago, last played in the PSL at the end of the 2017/2018 season, when he made nine appearances.
Asked at the time by this website what he felt was the reason Bakgaga decided to release him after showing glimpses of promise, he said: "I still need to work on my finishing, and I am lacking that small experience."
Today Sidumo has revealed a change of luck in his football career.
"Yeah it's true [I've signed for Chippa], I've been there since they re-opened in December," he tells KickOff.com.
"Obviously you are able to train with a team. I joined from Acornbush. It happened last week Friday, it's only for one season.
"This time I will only work harder you see. Nothing disturbed me during my last time in the PSL. Nothing has changed in my game."
Ask for confirmation on Sidumo's signing, Chilli Boys team manager Wanda Mbenguzana denied the player's claims.
"Nah I don't know, he is just training with us but he hasn't yet signed," Mbenguzana says.
"Ja he's just training with us. I don't know, but I'm telling you what I know. If he is the one who confirms that, that's for him. But as far as I know he's just training with us.
"That's me who does contracts so who else can he sign with except me?"
