Weekend media reports suggest that SuperSport and Bidvest Wits have entered the race to rope in Zulu, who has also attracted the attention of both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Zulu - who finished last season as the top scorer in the National First Division with 16 goals - has been impressive for Chippa. He has settled well into the topflight, scoring four League goals this term.
His form, which has earned him national call-ups, is also likely to make him one of the most sought after players when the transfer window opens in January.
However, Igesund has poured cold water on talk that Matsatsantsa have their eyes on the 28-year-old frontman.
"I have not suggested any players that I would like to bring in because we are still looking at the players that we have. I do not know where this talk of David Zulu is coming from really," Igesund tells KickOff.com.
"We are doing very well and we have good strikers at our disposal. I will have to decide whether it would be wise to bring in more players," adds the former Bafana coach.
Dino Ndlovu, Bradley Grobler and Lebogang Manyama are among the prominent strikers that Igesund has at his disposal at SuperSport.
"When I joined SuperSport, I immdiately noticed that this is a club with a very vibrant youth programme. There are very good young players coming through the ranks and they must be given a chance when the time is right," Igesund adds.
"But as I have said, we have not discussed which players we are looking to bring in or those we would like to release so these reports [about Zulu] are just rumours."
