Chiefs' elimination from their continental campaign at the hands of ZESCO United over the weekend has seen one of their league fixtures brought forward.
The PSL initially made provision for Amakhosi progressing to the Confederation Cup group stages by scheduling their matches at a reasonable turn-around time.
However, their exit at the play-off stage has allowed the League to bring their clash with Cape Town City – initially set for February 2 – forward to January 30 at the FNB Stadium.
This will see Chiefs negotiate seven fixtures within a 25-day period, following bookings with Mamelodi Sundowns, Bidvest Wits, Zesco United, AmaZulu, Zesco (return leg), Tornado FC and The Citizens.
Coach Ernst Middendorp earlier blamed the fixture congestion amid their two-legged encounter with the Zambian champions for their failure to progress.
