Celtic deepen Dikwena woes

Stars’ winless run in the League now stands at seven matches, with the Phokeng-based outfit now six points off the foot of the table.
Dikwena have endured an extremely disappointing season thus far, having failed to successfully build on their double-winning campaign.
Clinton Larsen's troops, though, are flying high with goals from Alfred Ndengane and Lerato Lamola moving them up to seventh in the League.
The visitors got off to the worst possible start. Poor defending from a Keagan Ritchie free-kick left Ndengane unmarked and the defender punished Dikwena with aplomb to hand Celtic the lead in the second minute.
Allan Freese’s men went in search of an immediate reply and almost found one, Vincent Khumalo going close with a succession of shots from range. His first forced Patrick Tignyemb into a stunning save, his second flew inches over the crossbar.
Stars bossed possession for the ensuing half-hour, but it was Siwelele who doubled their lead in the 40th minute.
Lamola found a pocket of space on the edge of the area before firing in an unstoppable left-footed effort to move top of the goalscoring charts along with four other players.
Despite Stars' attempts in the second stanza, Celtic looked the more threatening in the final third with the duo of Thapelo Morena and Dumisani Zuma causing the Stars defenders all sorts of headaches.
Mahlatsi Makudubela and Eleazar Rodgers forced Tignyemb into two good saves near the end, but their efforts came to nothing as Siwelele hung on to secure their seventh win of the season.
