Goals from Sipho Senne and Benson Shilongo, who previously played in the Botswana Premier League, steered Cavin Johnson’s side to the victory. Pape Abdoulaye Ndaw netted for the hosts in the second period.
The match was played at the National Stadium in front of a healthy crowd and was used to keep Dikwena sharp during the international break.
"Rollers has a strong team and they always give us a tough time, so this was good preparation for our upcoming games,” Johnson said.
“I wanted to look at some of our players who are not normally in the starting line up and I know Rollers also missed some regulars off for national duty, but I believe we had a good match."
Stars are next in action against away at Premier League leaders Bidvest Wits on Saturday.
The match will also serve as good preparation for their African Confederation Cup play-off tie against Ivorian side AS Tanda.
