Erasmus targets Bafana run

Erasmus scored his first international goal in the 4-1 World Cup qualifying win over the Zebras this past weekend, while he featured as a substitute in the 2-1 friendly loss to the Warriors on Tuesday.

"It has been a great experience for me in the national team,” Erasmus told his club's official website.

"I scored a goal which obviously gives me a lot of confidence and last night [Tuesday] I got a chance to play in a competitive match. I look to build on my past two performances and try to consolidate my position in the team. It won't be easy but I am up for the challenge. It's every player's dream to represent his country and I am no different."

The former SuperSport United man added: "What I also like is that the head coach (Gordon Igesund) told me not to put myself under pressure. He wants me playing my normal football. This helped me a lot."
