The 26-year-old made his Bafana Bafana debut last weekend, featuring in the first 45 minutes of the goalless 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya in Durban.

However, he now faces the risk of missing out on his first match since joining The Buccaneers from Bidvest Wits during the off-season.

"Vincent Pule is due to undergo a late fitness test ahead of the Absa Premiership clash against SuperSport United on Saturday," reads a statement on the club's website.

"The Bucs medical team have described his injury as ‘not serious’. However, they still need to assess the 26-year old before clearing him to play against Matsatsantsa."

Meanwhile, Zambian striker Augustine Mulenga has been given the green light after recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in the MTN8 quarterfinal defeat to the same Tshwane side last month.

The likes of Gladwin Shitolo, Brilliant Khuzwayo and Luvuyo Memela have all been ruled out of this weekend's tie as they continue in their respective recoveries.

Memela, who was previously cleared after recovering from his knee injury, has picked up an ankle knock in training, but the medical team have also advised that it is "not serious".
