Mhlongo: Fans should expect results

The Bucs returned for preseason on Monday morning as the squad was put through their paces under new head coach Muhsin Ertugral.

Mhlongo revealed his delight at re-uniting with his teammates after their short break, and was left impressed by the club’s new Turkish mentor.

“It was nice, especially to see everyone back and happy,” he told his club’s official website. “We had a great session.

“You can see the coach and the way he has been preparing us clearly shows we are going to have a great season ahead, and we are looking forward to working with him.”

Following their trophyless campaign last term, the 25-year-old feels the Bucs faithful should expect success from the Soweto giants under their new coach in the 2016/17 season.

“People should expect us to bring the results now,” he added.

Ertugral himself admitted to easing his players into their first preseason session, saying preseason training is a gradual process.

“These are soccer players and not Olympic sprinters,” he said.

“Obviously, there will be time for running during our pre-season, but for today I just wanted my players to reacquaint themselves with the ball.”
