Orlando Pirates finally got in amongst the Absa monthly awards in the 2019/20 season as the coach and player made their debuts on the podium.
Josef Zinnbauer and Gabadinho Mhango bagged the respective Coach and Player of the Month awards for January 2020.
Pirates were the most on-form side as they registered four wins and a draw, including an impressive win over Mamelodi Sundowns, while conceding just three goals as they catapulted themselves up the log standings.
The Buccaneers currently find themselves in second position on the Premiership table, trailing leaders Kaizer Chiefs by nine points.
Meanwhile, Mhango netted six goals in the club's five fixtures last month as he too catapulted himself to the top of the goal scoring charts.
Amongst his six goals, the Malawian international scored a hattrick against Polokwane City.
It is the first time both figures won these respective awards, with Zinnbauer having arrived just two months ago to take over from interim coach Rhulani Mokwena, while Mhango joined Bucs at the start of the campaign from Bidvest Wits.
