Vlad - Qalinge needs time to adjust

Qalinge joined Pirates from Mpumalanga Black Aces in July and despite scoring two goals for Bucs so far, he has not produced the same levels he achieved at AmaZayoni.

The 23-year-old netted the winner in the 2-1 victory over Polokwane City in the Telkom Knockout on Sunday but looked nervous at times at Orlando Stadium.

“There is a difference when you playing for other clubs and when you are playing for Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs,” Vermezovic says.

“Qalinge came two months ago. He needs time to adapt to our style of playing. Playing for Mpumalanga Black Aces, he had all the freedom to do what he want.

“But here it is different. We have lots of quality in our team. He doesn't need to be so selfish. But, if in Africa the age is right, he is still young and there is time in front of him. Every player in a big team needs six months to adapt.”
