Lekgwathi: De Sa must rotate players

The Sea Robbers are set to play Polokwane City in the Premiership tomorrow.

They then take on Al Ahly in a must-win CAF Champions League Group A tie at Orlando Stadium on Sunday, two days before tackling archrivals Kaizer Chiefs in the decisive leg of their MTN8 semi-final at the same venue.

Should Bucs, who have a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, beat Amakhosi they will also have to contest the MTN8 final on September 28.

"We've to soldier on. I think the coach must just be careful because we have a bunch of quality players, and give others a rest," Lekgwathi told reporters after the Telkom Knockout draw in Randburg on Monday night.

"Like myself, I think I will get a rest against Polokwane City tomorrow so I will be able to play the two upcoming games.

"And the coach must make sure that he rests some of the players because it's a hectic week for the team. I think it will be good to rest players."

The 37-year-old defender added: "I don't think it is going to be easy playing on Sunday then playing on Tuesday, that's why I'm saying whoever will get a chance must keep his jersey. For me I think the coach must rotate players."
