OFFICIAL | Maluleka leaves Mamelodi Sundowns

It can officially be confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns have parted ways with midfielder George Maluleka.

The player's representative, Sean Roberts confirmed his client's departure from Chloorkop which means he now becomes a free agent.

"Unfortunately, they [Sundowns] could not exercise his option to renew his contract," Roberts confirms to KickOff.

"Maluleka is now a free agent."

The 33-year-old made the controversial move between title rivals at the time, Kaizer Chiefs to Sundowns back in 2020.

Maluleka went on to make 19 appearances since his arrival back in July 2020.

The move at the time stirred controversy among Chiefs fans after Maluleka had starred for the Soweto giants making 168 appearances between 2014-2020.
