Of Amakhosi's 13 League goals this season, only one has come from a centre-forward, in the shape of Nkhatha. Midfielders Reneilwe Letsholonyane (5 goals), Mandla Masango (4) and George Lebese (2) have led the way, with defender Tefu Mashamaite also netting once.
Of the 10 goals they scored en route to MTN8 glory, just two were scored by strikers, via Nkhatha and the injured Katlego Mphela.
In the Telkom Knockout, forward Bernard Parker bagged their only goal in the opening round against Ajax Cape Town, with Stuart Baxter's men later losing to holders Platinum Stars on penalties.
Baxter has expressed concern over the matter as his table-topping side prepares for tonight's Absa Premiership clash with bottom-placed AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“The coach is right,” Nkhatha told his club's official website.
“All the strikers have been working hard at training at finishing. By the grace of God, everything will come right on Wednesday evening. As strikers we owe it to the team!”
Nkhatha said of facing Usuthu: “Playing away against AmaZulu is never easy, especially after coming from a break.”
He added: “We have been working hard at training to rectify a few problems. Now we have to prove in the forthcoming match that we can apply the lessons learnt.”
