The 26-year-old, who recently returned to top-flight football after being sidelined by a 18-month contract dispute involving Orlando Pirates and Golden Arrows, impressed in his first start of the season in a 1-1 draw at Mbombela Stadium last night.
When asked in a post-match interview if he was trying to make up for lost time, Ngobeni replied: "You know I'm not making up anything here, I'm here to do my job.
"I have to be professional, it's a job, and I'm grateful for the chance to do it."
Ngobeni added that he was disappointed with the result, as Aces conceded a last-gasp equaliser from substitute Lerato Manzini after Mabhuti Khenyeza opened the scoring in Nelspruit.
"We started very well in the first half. Unfortunately we gave away a silly mistake in the last minute," Ngobeni said.
"Getting a draw in such a state is very disappointing. We need to concentrate more. We need to learn from this and go forward."
