TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi says his team would welcome the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of Africa’s top clubs in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The National First Division side could qualify for the continental club competition, if they manage to beat Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final at Moses Mabhida Stadium next month.

Galaxy, a team from the rural village of the former Kwandebele area – Kameelrivier – shocked the footballing world when they came from behind to beat top tier club Golden Arrows in the semifinals over the weekend.

“TS Galaxy FC will certainly participate in the CAF Confederation Cup, should we win the Nedbank Cup," Sukazi tells KickOff.com.

"The prospects of hosting African giants such as Al Ahly, Zamalek, TP Mazembe and the likes at Kameelrivier Stadium is a big motivating factor. We also look forward to the opportunity to exhibit to Africa the TS Galaxy football brand and style, which is loved by many South Africans."

Asked if there any plans to bus 'The Rockets' faithful to Durban for the final to be played on May 18, Sukazi said: "It's too early to comment on that. All I know is that we will paint the Moses Mabhida Stadium red come 18 May."
